The development of our discovery Trail maps started with the base design of the cartography over the area of the Cotswolds concerned. What was created was a wonderful elegant old style map design with a beautiful balance of colours which jump and sing out from the page.

While the discovery Trails were the principle motivation for their design we have a pair of gorgeous looking maps here. Therefore i have edited down the maps back to the base cartography, only leaving interesting information from the area, which will absorb you further as your eyes dance across the maps.

I had many different examples of them printed on different papers and employing different printing methods to establish the best presentation for the maps as possible.

I finally landed on a high quality lithographic printing method, using 240 gsm heavy matt white archival paper and am delighted with the results.
